Guillaume Therien made 28 saves to complete the shutout and led the Carleton Place Canadians to a 4-0 win against the Cornwall Colts.

With the win, Carleton Place evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Canadians were sparked by Vinny Post, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Post scored 6:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place. Craig Pefley assisted on the tally.

Carleton Place's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Cornwall power plays. The Canadians forced Cornwall goalie Denny Dubblestyne to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Carleton Place additionally got points from Stephen Baylis, who also had one goal and two assists. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Devin Campbell and Alex Robinson, who scored one goal each.
