The game between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Ottawa Senators was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pembroke emerged with a 3-2 win. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Alexandre Boivin at 19:05 of the third period. The win by the Lumber Kings clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. Pembroke was led by Boivin, who registered one goal and one assist. The Lumber Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Pembroke additionally got points from Fraser Turner, who also registered one goal and one assist and Felix Chamberland, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Anthony Nellis, who had one. Ottawa's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Pembroke power plays. The Senators were helped by Jim Pearson, who had one goal. Pearson scored 17:00 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Johnathan Kovacevic picked up the assist. Ottawa also got a goal from Shawn Lynch as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Bruno Cheff, Carl Faucher, and Greg Meireles, who contributed one each. Pembroke's Jordan Piccolino stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ian Andriano rejected 21 shots on goal for Ottawa. The Senators incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
