Ottawa survives Pembroke comeback, wins 4-3Pembroke Memorial Center Sun, Apr 05, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Ottawa Senators survived a determined comeback attempt by the Pembroke Lumber Kings on the way to a 4-3 win. Ottawa took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Pembroke storm back on a Felix Chamberland goal 7:41 into the third period to pull to one goal down. With the win, the Senators avoided elimination to make the series score 3-3 in the best of seven series. Robert Michel had one goal and two assists to lead Ottawa. Michel scored on the power play 18:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa. The Senators had gotten the advantage when the Lumber Kings' Ryan Casselman was sent off for boarding. Shawn Lynch assisted on the tally. Ottawa's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Pembroke power plays. Ottawa also got a goal from Carl Faucher as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Daniel Sarracco, Joey Champigny, Ryan Cranford, and Greg Meireles, who contributed one each. Pembroke kept the Senators' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ian Andriano made 29 saves on 32 shots. The Lumber Kings were helped by Alexandre Boivin, who finished with one goal. Boivin scored 7:58 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Chamberland picked up the assist. Pembroke additionally got points from Chamberland, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pembroke included Jesse Blais and Adam Dauda, who each put in one. More assists for Pembroke came via Stephen Cooney, who had one and Stephan Beauvais, who had two. Ottawa incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jordan Piccolino rejected 22 shots on goal for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
