Ottawa falls to Pembroke in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Pembroke Lumber Kings pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Ottawa Senators on a clutch goal by Felix Chamberland.

The win by Pembroke broke a deadlock and gave the Lumber Kings a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Pembroke was led by Chamberland, who registered one goal. Chamberland scored 3:23 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Stephen Cooney assisted on the tally.

The Lumber Kings forced Ottawa's goaltenders to work between the pipes, ripping 33 shots and forcing 31 saves. Ian Andriano made 13 stops and Alexandre Savard-Belanger made 18. Pembroke excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Pembroke also got a goal from Owen McDade as well. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Anthony Nellis, who had one.

The Senators were led by Greg Meireles, who scored the team's only goal. Meireles scored 5:08 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Carl Faucher provided the assist.

Jordan Piccolino made 23 saves for the Lumber Kings on 24 shots. Pembroke incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ottawa incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
