Jordan Piccolino was superb between the pipes for the Pembroke Lumber Kings, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators. With the win, Pembroke evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. The Lumber Kings were paced by Owen McDade, who tallied one goal. McDade scored 5:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Ryan Casselman picked up the assist. Pembroke stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pembroke also had goals scored by Felix Chamberland and Stephen Cooney, who scored one goal each. More assists for Pembroke came via Jesse Blais, Fraser Turner, and Anthony Nellis, who each chipped in one. The Senators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Ottawa's offense rang up 36 shots on the Lumber Kings' net. Piccolino rejected 36 shots on goal for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. The Senators' Alexandre Savard-Belanger stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Ottawa incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
