The Carleton Place Canadians and the Nepean Raiders were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Carleton Place made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Craig Pefley's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The win by the Canadians clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Carleton Place was led by Pefley, who tallied one goal and one assist. Pefley scored 19:03 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Carleton Place. Owen Stewart picked up the assist.

The Canadians forced Nepean goalie Francis Marotte to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Others who scored for Carleton Place included Tyson Stewart and Maxime StPierre, who each put in one. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Willie Brooks, Devin Campbell, Connor Merkley, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one each.

The Raiders were helped by Brandon Belding, who had one goal. Belding scored 10:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean. Devin Fullum assisted on the tally. Nepean additionally got points from Fullum, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Chad Malinowski and Mac MacSorley, who each chipped in one.

Adrian Clark recorded 23 saves for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Francis Marotte made 38 saves for Nepean on 41 shots. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
