New Hampshire survived a determined comeback attempt by Cape Cod on the way to a 3-1 win. A goal by David Fish put New Hampshire up 3-0 in the second period, but Cape Cod pulled to within two on Colton Hart's tally 4:47 into the third period. The win by New Hampshire clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Cape Cod was stymied by New Hampshire's netminder Claes Endre, who stopped 35 shots during the victory. Endre managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.67 prior to the game. New Hampshire excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. New Hampshire forced Cape Cod goalie Patrick Spaulding to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. New Hampshire was led by Nicholas Bartholomew, who racked up one goal and one assist. Bartholomew scored 5:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 New Hampshire. Simon Campbell picked up the assist. Chris Babineau also scored for New Hampshire. More assists for New Hampshire came via Nick Pino, who had one and Tim Casey, who had two. Cape Cod's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six New Hampshire power plays. Cape Cod's offense rang up 36 shots on New Hampshire's net. In addition, Cape Cod received assists from Jordy Knoren, who had one. New Hampshire ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. Spaulding recorded 31 saves for Cape Cod. Cape Cod incurred 44 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Team's Colton Hutton and Christian Holmes were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
