Wilkes-Barre failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Jersey Shore shook off a number of penalties to win, 7-3. The win by Jersey Shore clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Jersey Shore's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Wilkes-Barre power plays. Jersey Shore kept Wilkes-Barre's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Quinlin made 60 saves on 67 shots. Wilkes-Barre excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Wilkes-Barre forced Jersey Shore goalie Marc Schlaeger to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Wilkes-Barre was helped by Krystof Rykala, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Rykala scored 2:09 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Jersey Shore. Kenny Myers picked up the assist. Wilkes-Barre additionally got points from Michael Tugo, who also registered one goal and one assist. Wilkes-Barre also got a goal from Guillaume St. Germain as well.
