The St. Catharines Falcons used a sparkling performance by Ben Csiernik to take down the Welland Jr. Canadians, as the netminder did not allow a goal in St. Catharines' 6-0 shutout victory. The win by the Falcons broke a deadlock and gave St. Catharines a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Tyler Jackson had two goals to lead the Falcons to victory. Jackson's tallies came on the power play at 17:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Catharines and on the power play 13:53 into the third to make the score 5-0 St. Catharines. St. Catharines put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Welland to score on any of its four power plays. The Jr. Canadians were unable to stop the Falcons from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Catharines eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. St. Catharines also got points from Ryan Doucette, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Brandon Cercone, who also registered one goal and two assists. St. Catharines also got a goal from Manny Manns as well. More assists for St. Catharines came via Tyler Morrison, who had three, Brock Ackerman and Broderick Kelly, who each chipped in one, and Connor Timmins and Brett Brooker, who contributed two each. Welland's penalty kill unit could not stop the Falcons' power play, which converted on three of four opportunities. Csiernik recorded 25 saves for St. Catharines. The Falcons incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Chris Janzen made 35 saves for the Jr. Canadians on 41 shots. Welland ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For the Jr. Canadians, Gabe Ruggi was ejected from the game.
