Justin Tugwell was superb between the pipes for the London Nationals, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Leamington Flyers. The win gave London a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Trevor Dulong had a great game for the Nationals, netting two goals. Dulong scored at 10:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 London and again while 19:04 into the third to make the score 3-0 London. London's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Leamington power plays. London also got a goal from Kyle L Robinson as well. More assists for London came via Callum Ruddock, Tanner Ferreira, Kevin Madden, Austin Kemp, and Tanner Lafrance, who contributed one each. Leamington put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nationals to score on any of their eight power plays. The Flyers kept London's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tugwell made 45 saves on 45 shots. The Nationals incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Leamington's Trevor Wheaton stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Flyers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. |
