Brockville falls to Pembroke in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Owen McDade scored 16:14 into overtime to beat the Brockville Braves, 3-2 (OT).

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Brockville faces elimination next time out.

Pembroke overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Lumber Kings fell behind 2-0 after a goal by the Braves' Jack Billings at 1:21 in the second period. Pembroke tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Anthony Nellis at 5:32 in the third period.

The Lumber Kings were sparked by McDade, who racked up one goal.

Pembroke stifled Brockville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lumber Kings kept the Braves' goalie busy throughout the game, and Bo Taylor made 40 saves on 43 shots.

Pembroke additionally got points from Felix Chamberland, who also had one goal and one assist and Nellis, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Fraser Turner and Adam Dauda, who contributed one each.

Brockville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Braves forced Pembroke goalie Jordan Piccolino to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Brockville was led by Neil Robinson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Robinson scored 1:04 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. Liam Folkes provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Eric Israel, who had two.

Jordan Piccolino made 32 saves for the Lumber Kings on 34 shots. Pembroke incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
