Pembroke blows out Brockville, 4-0

The Brockville Braves had trouble finding ways to stop the Pembroke Lumber Kings, which beat Braves, 4-0.

With the win, Pembroke evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Lumber Kings were led by Anthony Nellis, who racked up one goal. Nellis scored on the power play 4:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Pembroke had gotten the advantage when Brockville's Tre Folkes was sent off for interference. Alexandre Boivin picked up the assist.

The Lumber Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Others who scored for Pembroke included Jesse Blais, Hudson Michaelis, and Stephan Beauvais, who scored one goal each. More assists for Pembroke came via Colton Keuhl and Stephen Cooney, who each chipped in one.

Jordan Piccolino rejected 22 shots on goal for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Bo Taylor recorded 25 saves for the Braves. Brockville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Braves ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Francesco Tolfa was ejected from the game.
