Zachary Borsoi gave the Gloucester Rangers a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Kemptville 73s when he scored 9:22 into the extra period. The win by Gloucester clinched the best of three series at 2-0. The Rangers' penalty kill excelled, as Gloucester gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays. The Rangers were sparked by Borsoi, who grabbed one goal. Gloucester stifled Kemptville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rangers kept the 73s' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Tugnutt made 41 saves on 44 shots. The defensemen of Gloucester were also effective in Kemptville's zone, and came away with two goals. Gloucester additionally got points from Dorian Dawson, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Max Veronneau, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Nicholas Ngwafusi, who had one and Matt Foget, who had three. The Rangers were unable to stop the 73s from sending pucks towards the net, and Kemptville eventually piled up 73 shots on goal. The 73s were helped by Dean Galasso, who registered two goals. Galasso scored the first of his two goals at 11:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kemptville. Justin Haasbeek assisted on the tally. Galasso's next tally made the score 2-2 with 5:32 left in the second period. Brandon Lesway picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Shane Riddell, who had one. Doug Johnston made 71 saves for Gloucester on 73 shots. The Rangers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kemptville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
