M2 Lindenwood University wins tough contest against M2 Miami(OH) University, 5-3

The game between M2 Lindenwood University and M2 Miami(OH) University was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end M2 Lindenwood University emerged with a 5-3 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Scott Leslie at 18:15 of the third period.

Brenden Church had two goals to lead M2 Lindenwood University to victory. Church found the back of the net 2:42 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 18:47 into the second to make the score 3-2 M2 Lindenwood University.

M2 Lindenwood University forced M2 Miami(OH) University goalie Matthew Kovesdy to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

M2 Lindenwood University additionally got points from John Mulligan, who also had one goal and two assists and Kyle Vesling, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, M2 Lindenwood University received assists from Nick Carey, Taylor Wolfe, and Erik Boning, who contributed one each.

M2 Miami(OH) University was helped by Jimmy Berger, who registered one goal. Berger scored on the power play 18:52 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M2 Miami(OH) University. M2 Miami(OH) University had gotten the advantage when M2 Lindenwood University's Wolfe was sent off for hooking. Timmy Spicola picked up the assist. M2 Miami(OH) University also got points from Bradley Annas, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M2 Miami(OH) University also got a goal from Mark Azarian as well. More assists for M2 Miami(OH) University came via Evan Frank and Chad Lehigh, who each chipped in one.

M2 Lindenwood University's Tim Craig stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. M2 Lindenwood University incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matthew Kovesdy made 30 saves for M2 Miami(OH) University on 35 shots. M2 Miami(OH) University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
