Kyle Keeder had two points to lead the West Michigan Wolves to a 3-1 victory over the Peoria Mustangs. With the win, West Michigan avoided elimination to make the series score 1-2 in the best of three series. The Wolves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. West Michigan's offense rang up 38 shots on Peoria's net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. West Michigan also had goals scored by Mike Difranco and Brandon Benaglio, who scored one goal each. More assists for West Michigan came via Steven Rhodes, Michael Tratar, and Devin Farkas, who contributed one each. The Mustangs were led by Andrej Buchko, who scored the team's only goal. Buchko scored 11:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jason Henry assisted on the tally. Hunter Vorva made 21 saves for the Wolves on 22 shots. West Michigan incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Marc Hayton rejected 35 shots on goal for Peoria. The Mustangs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
