Justin Jacklin lifted the Wingham Ironmen to a 7-3 victory with a hat trick against the Walkerton Hawks. Jacklin's first goal came 13:53 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:50 into the second and at 1:07 into the third.With the win, Wingham avoided elimination to make the series score 3-3 in the best of seven series. Walkerton was unable to stop the Ironmen from sending pucks towards the net, and Wingham eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Wingham additionally got points from Ryan McNeil, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Wingham included Matt McCracken and Broedy Karelse, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Wingham were Greg Hansford, Holdyn Lansink, and Greg Scott, who each chipped in one and Brett Brophy and Alex Kuntz, who contributed two each. The Hawks were helped by Ryan Hamelin, who grabbed one goal. Hamelin scored 18:35 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Walkerton also had goals scored by Nathan Kramer and Jay Thomson, who each put in one. More assists for Walkerton came via Brendan Welsh, Reid Simmons, and Tyler Cunningham, who each chipped in one. Ben Nelson rejected 26 shots on goal for the Ironmen. Wingham incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Erik Angeli recorded 35 saves for Walkerton. The Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
