Traverse City Hounds beats Motor City Monarchs 7-3 as Fisher gets hat trick

Motor City Monarchs could not stop Traverse City Hounds' Cam Fisher, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-3 win.

Fisher notched his first tally 16:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:38 into the second and at 31 seconds into the third.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Motor City Monarchs faces elimination next time out.

Traverse City Hounds also got points from Stan Swiderek, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Traverse City Hounds also got a goal from Greg Meuser as well. Other players who recorded assists for Traverse City Hounds were Patrick Rogowski, who had one, Kevin Hansen, who had three, and Scott Luca, Austin Flores, and Cam Givens, who each chipped in two.

Motor City Monarchs' offense rang up 38 shots on Traverse City Hounds' net.

Motor City Monarchs was led by Anthony Wojciechowski, who finished with two goals. Wojciechowski scored the first of his two goals at 14:34 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Traverse City Hounds. Adam Jonak assisted on the tally. Wojciechowski's next tally made the score 6-3 Traverse City Hounds with 14:52 left in the third period. Motor City Monarchs had gained a power play chance when Luca was whistled for tripping. Jonak picked up the assist. Corey Finnemore also scored for Motor City Monarchs. In addition, Motor City Monarchs received assists from Trevor Hillman, who had one and Tory Shand, who had two.

David Krejcik recorded 35 saves for Traverse City Hounds. Traverse City Hounds incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tyler Skulley took the loss and made 10 saves before being replaced by Stephan Demmers who made five saves. Motor City Monarchs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
