Motor City Monarchs gutted out a close 5-3 win against Michigan Ice Dogs.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Anthony Wojciechowski at 8:08 of the third period.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Michigan Ice Dogs faces elimination next time out.

Trevor Pode and Adam Jonak provided the spark for Motor City Monarchs, combining for three goals and two assists. Pode tallied two goals and Jonak also added one goal and two assists.

Motor City Monarchs' offense rang up 47 shots on Michigan Ice Dogs' net.

Motor City Monarchs additionally got points from Tory Shand, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Jonak, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
