Jesse Garcia stood on his head and made 25 saves to lead the Granite City Lumberjacks to a 3-1 victory over the Alexandria Blizzard.

The win by Granite City clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

The Lumberjacks were sparked by Luke Richardson, who had one goal. Richardson scored 19:37 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Granite City. Jared Sprink provided the assist.

Granite City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Alexandria power plays. The Lumberjacks kept Alexandria's goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Bisek made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Granite City also got points from Sprink, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Granite City also got a goal from Will Mix as well. Other players who recorded assists for Granite City were Dallas Marvin, who had two and Mitchell Gwost and Travis Kothenbeutel, who contributed one each.

The Blizzard were led by Tom Schmidt, who scored the team's only goal. Schmidt scored 11:02 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Alexandria. Aaron Ryback assisted on the tally.

Granite City incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alexandria incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
