Port Hope earns hard-fought 1-0 win over Napanee

The Port Hope Panthers and the Napanee Raiders played 60 tight minutes of hockey, but in the end it was Port Hope that came away with a 1-0 victory.

Tyler Davey's tally was assisted by Dalton Lawrence.

The win gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Port Hope was led by Davey, who had one goal. Davey scored 15 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Port Hope. Lawrence picked up the assist.

The Panthers' offense rang up 36 shots on Napanee's net.

Devan Tremblay made 18 saves for Port Hope on 18 shots. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Raiders' Tomo Mikuljan stopped 35 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Napanee incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
