Toronto Patriots uses big second period to beat St. Michaels, 5-0

The St. Michaels Buzzers allowed the Toronto Patriots Patriots to net three goals during the second period and fell, 5-0.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, St. Michaels faces elimination next time out.

Toronto Patriots was sparked by Nico Gonzalez, who had one goal and one assist. Gonzalez scored on the power play 4:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots. Marco Bozzo picked up the assist.

The Patriots' offense rang up 38 shots on the Buzzers' net.

Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Marcus Rose, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Toronto Patriots also had goals scored by Mitch Emerson, Niko Kovachis, and Nathan Feric, who each put in one. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Connor Beck, who had two and Tyler Currie, Louis DiMatteo, Quinn Syrydiuk, Matthew Cairns, and Jeremy Pullara, who each chipped in one.

Mathew Robson rejected 24 shots on goal for Toronto Patriots. The Patriots incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. George Argiropoulos recorded 33 saves for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Team's Ian Edmondson and Scott Teskey were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
