Toronto Patriots beats St. Michaels 5-2 as Emerson gets hat trick

The St. Michaels Buzzers could not stop the Toronto Patriots Patriots' Mitch Emerson, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Emerson's first goal came 15:33 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:59 into the second and at 19:26 into the third.

The win gave Toronto Patriots a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Patriots excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Toronto Patriots' offense rang up 37 shots on St. Michaels' net.

Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Nathan Feric, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Nicholas Ursitti as well. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Jacob Hayhurst, who had two and Tyler Currie and Louis DiMatteo, who contributed one each.

The Buzzers were helped by Noah Jordan, who finished with one goal. Jordan scored 1:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Ian Edmondson picked up the assist. Joseph Berton also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Thomas Beretta, who had one.

Mathew Robson rejected 21 shots on goal for the Patriots. Toronto Patriots incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. George Argiropoulos recorded 32 saves for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
