A hat trick by Ryan Doucette was the highlight in Falcons' 5-1 win against the Thorold Blackhawks. Doucette got on the scoresheet 17:06 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:17 into the second and at 17:04 into the second.The win by the St. Catharines Falcons clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Thorold was unable to stop St. Catharines from sending pucks towards the net, and the Falcons eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. St. Catharines capitalized on the Blackhawks' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. St. Catharines additionally got points from Brock Ackerman, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Tyler Morrison, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Broderick Kelly, who had two and Justin Felker, Jacob Parisotto, Connor Timmins, and Brandon Cercone, who contributed one each. Thorold was led by Greg Christmas, who scored the team's only goal. Christmas scored 22 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thorold. Anthony Postiglione provided the assist. The Falcons' Ben Csiernik stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. St. Catharines incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Josh Astorino recorded 39 saves for the Blackhawks. Thorold incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
