Buffalo downs Georgetown, 4-1

Aiden Salerno registered two points to lead the Buffalo Jr. Sabres to a 4-1 victory over the Georgetown Raiders.

The win gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Buffalo additionally got points from Tim Kielich, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Buffalo also had goals scored by Daniel Lafontaine and Collin Farrell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Christopher Berger, Brenden Dunning, Ben Casale, and Chris Moses, who contributed one each.

Georgetown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances.

The Raiders were led by Gavin Shantz, who scored the team's only goal. Shantz scored on the power play 10:25 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo. Georgetown had taken the advantage when the Jr. Sabres' Salerno got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Anthony Marra assisted on the tally.

Alex Connal rejected 24 shots on goal for Buffalo. The Jr. Sabres incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors. Marc Williams made 19 saves before being replaced by Jack LaFontaine, who took the loss and made six saves. The Raiders incurred 52 minutes in penalty time with 16 minors.
