Ford leads Vermont University of over Northeastern University, 5-1

Behind a great game by Emily Ford, who had two goals and two assists, the Vermont University of Catamounts defeated the Northeastern University Huskies, 5-1.

Ford scored at 39 seconds into the first period to make the score 2-0 Vermont University of and again while 13:56 into the second to make the score 5-0 Vermont University of.

Vermont University of found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Catamounts average 2.5 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Vermont University of also got points from Erin McDonald, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Monique Squiers, who also had one goal and one assist. Vermont University of also got a goal from Greer Vogl as well. In addition, Vermont University of received assists from Hanna Lovelette, who had two and Sarah White, Carly Tashman, and Bethany Kelly, who each chipped in one.

Northeastern University stifled Vermont University of's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Catamounts incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Huskies incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
