Jersey Shore outlasts New Hampshire, 4-2

The game between Jersey Shore and New Hampshire was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Jersey Shore emerged with a 4-2 win.

Jersey Shore gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jiri Hajda 18:45 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, New Hampshire faces elimination next time out.

Jersey Shore was led by Hajda, who had one goal.

Jersey Shore forced New Hampshire goalie Adam Higdon to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The defensemen of Jersey Shore were also effective in New Hampshire's zone, and came away with two goals.

Jersey Shore also got points from Ilya Spektor, who also registered one goal and one assist and Alexandre Racicot, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Justin Apgar also scored for Jersey Shore. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from Alexander Tan and Austin Crane, who contributed one each.

New Hampshire's offense rang up 32 shots on Jersey Shore's net.

New Hampshire was helped by Mike Callaghan, who grabbed one goal. Callaghan scored on the power play 6:56 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A hooking penalty on Adam Skutchan had put New Hampshire on the power play. Alex Peddle provided the assist. New Hampshire also got a goal from Frederic Pugin as well. Other players who recorded assists for New Hampshire were Mike Heffernan and Nick Pino, who each chipped in one.
