Roc City tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Jersey Shore held on for a 6-5 victory. Jersey Shore made the score 6-4 on a goal by Justin Apgar at 17:07 in the third period, and Roc City got as close as 6-5 when Anthony DePetres scored 19:07 into the third period. After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Roc City faces elimination next time out. Jersey Shore got the win thanks to a great game by Apgar, who had two goals and one assist. Apgar scored the first of his two goals at 6:51 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Jersey Shore. Ilya Spektor assisted on the tally. Apgar's next tally made the score 6-4 Jersey Shore with 2:53 left in the third period. Kevin Gruber picked up the assist. Jersey Shore kept Roc City's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Nevinger made 51 saves on 57 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Jersey Shore also got points from Spektor, who also registered one goal and two assists and Adam Skutchan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Jersey Shore included Austin Crane and JaColbie McGowan, who scored one goal each. More assists for Jersey Shore came via Jiri Hajda, who had two and Tim OConnor, Konstantin Mamedov, and Alexandre Racicot, who each chipped in one. Roc City forced Jersey Shore goalie Tyger Howat to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots. Roc City was helped by John Papas, who finished with two goals. Papas scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:56 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Roc City earned a power play opportunity when Gruber was put in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. DePetres assisted on the tally. Papas' next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 37 seconds left in the second period. James Lockamyeir picked up the assist. Roc City additionally got points from John Wise, who also had one goal and one assist and DePetres, who also registered one goal and one assist. Sam Cammilleri also scored for Roc City.
