Cape Cod survived a determined comeback attempt by New England on the way to a 2-1 win. A goal by Colton Hutton put Cape Cod up 2-0 in the second period, but New England pulled to within one on Kyle Weiss's tally 2:01 into the third period. The win by Cape Cod clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Cape Cod's Patrick Spaulding was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Spaulding will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest. Cape Cod was sparked by Hutton, who had one goal. Hutton scored 18:27 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cape Cod. Jordy Knoren also scored for Cape Cod. More assists for Cape Cod came via Isaac Bosse and Colton Hart, who each chipped in one. In addition, New England received assists from Brendan Miller, who had one. Cape Cod incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Dane Pauls rejected 16 shots on goal for New England. New England incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
