Huge game by Repaci boosts Toronto Jr. Canadiens over Burlington, 7-0

Anthony Repaci had one goal and three assists to lead the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens to a 7-0 victory over the Burlington Cougars.

Repaci got on the board by slotting home a goal 14 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Aaron Spivak provided the assist. Repaci dished an assist on Spivak's goal that made the score 3-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens at 3:26 into the second period. He then added assists on Spivak's goal at 6:15 into the second and on Justin Maiolino's goal at 5:18 into the third.

Nathan Colitto frustrated Burlington's offense all game, and stopped 26 shots en route to a shutout. Colitto managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.44 prior to the game.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens' defensive effort looked to be improved. The Junior Canadiens average 2.8 goals allowed per game. The Cougars were unable to stop Toronto Jr. Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Canadiens eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. Toronto Jr. Canadiens bested its season scoring average. The Junior Canadiens average 3.4 goals per game.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Maiolino, who also racked up one goal and three assists and Spivak, who also grabbed three goals and two assists. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Kennedy Duguid and Michael Cuddemi, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens were Ryan Kruss, who had two and Matthew Ferrari, Andrew Pucci, and Andrew Mullen, who each chipped in one.

Burlington racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. The Cougars surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. Burlington's offense operated below its season average. The Cougars put an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Evgueni Makarski rejected 39 shots on goal for Burlington. The Cougars registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
