The Dorchester Dolphins relied on the scoring touch of Brendon O Shaughnessy, who netted two goals, to beat the Lambeth Lancers, 5-2. O Shaughnessy's tallies came at 18:56 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Dorchester and 35 seconds into the third to make the score 4-2 Dorchester.The win by Dorchester clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Lambeth's power play was ineffective against the Dolphins' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Dorchester's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 10 Lambeth power plays. The Dolphins kept the Lancers' goalie busy throughout the game, and JP Trudell made 27 saves on 32 shots. Dorchester also got a goal from Chad Brulotte as well. More assists for Dorchester came via Nathan Innes, Liam Gillooly, Chris Carreiro, and Collin Hartwick, who contributed one each and Jordan Fuller and Bryan McCauley, who each chipped in two. Lambeth forced Dorchester goalie Kent Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. The Lancers were helped by Mike Frizzell, who racked up one goal. Frizzell scored 13:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dorchester. Nick North assisted on the tally. Jordan Rear also scored for Lambeth. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Josh Bumpus, Kale Corbeth, and Warren Hargraves, who contributed one each. Kent Taylor made 42 saves for the Dolphins on 44 shots. Dorchester incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Lambeth incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
