Lambton Shores survives Chatham comeback, wins 7-5The Shores Recreation Centre Tue, Feb 17, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Chatham Maroons tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Lambton Shores Predators held on for a 7-5 victory. Lambton Shores made the score 7-4 on a goal by Franco Sproviero at 13:05 in the third period, and Chatham got as close as 7-5 when Trevor Richardson scored 16:39 into the third period. With three goals and one assist between them, Drew Marlatt and Sean Ross teamed up to power the Predators' offense. Marlatt had two goals and Ross also added one goal and one assist. Lambton Shores forced the Maroons' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 32 shots and forcing 25 saves. Jake Patterson made 23 stops and Bo Bessette made two. The Predators outdid their season average for goals scored. Lambton Shores averages 3.3 goals per game. The Predators capitalized on Chatham's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Nick Sproviero, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Sproviero, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Colin Burns, who also registered one goal and two assists, Andrew Kim, who also had one goal and two assists, and Ross, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Austin Fetterly, Trevor Waller, and Gino Mini, who contributed one each and Ethan Sarfati and Ryan Fraser, who each chipped in two. The Maroons' offense rang up 52 shots on Lambton Shores' net. Chatham also had goals scored by Jared Dennis, Brett Storr, and Ian Faubert, who scored one goal each. In addition, Chatham received assists from Gus Ford, Brayden Hopkins, Alexander Morgan, Steven Beenackers, and Michael Levesque, who contributed one each and Connor Annett and Brennan Feasey, who each chipped in two. The Predators' Andrew Harriman-Duke stopped 47 shots out of the 52 that he faced. Lambton Shores incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chatham incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
