Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) defeated Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for three attempts between the teams. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm)'s shootout goal was scored by Brendan Walkom. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm)'s other shootout goal was scored by Joey Petruzzella.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm)'s Chris Conway at 14:48 in the first period. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Jake Lamberty at 14:39 in the third period.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) also got a goal from Luke Ormsby as well. In addition, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) received assists from Jeremy Gabriele, who had one.
