A stellar performance between the pipes by Cornel Felder helped the Sarnia Legionnaires defeat the St. Marys Lincolns, 4-1. Sarnia was led by Hunter Tyczynski, who registered one goal. Tyczynski scored 3:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Sarnia. Tyler Longo assisted on the tally. The Legionnaires excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Sarnia forced St. Marys goalie Taylor Gubesch to work between the pipes, taking 60 shots. Ryan Vendramin also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Cameron Clarke, who had two and Nathan Mater and Brandon Layman, who each chipped in one. The Legionnaires were unable to stop the Lincolns from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Marys eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Lincolns could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. St. Marys was led by Brent House, who scored the team's only goal. House scored 4:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. Frasier Lewis picked up the assist. Cornel Felder made 33 saves for Sarnia on 34 shots. The Legionnaires incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sarnia ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mater was ejected from the game. Gubesch rejected 56 shots on goal for the Lincolns.
