Murphy's goals lift Napanee to 6-2 victory over Campbellford

Josh Murphy had two goals to lead the Napanee Raiders to a 6-2 victory over the Campbellford Rebels.

Murphy scored at 14:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Napanee and again while 50 seconds into the third to make the score 3-2 Napanee.

The win by Napanee broke a deadlock and gave the Raiders a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Napanee's offense rang up 41 shots on Campbellford's net.

Napanee also got points from Brodie Butt, who also had one goal and one assist and Keenan Murray, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Napanee also got a goal from Riley Steeves as well. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Matthew Muller, Brandon Nadeau, Cullen Hinds, Evan Brown, Austin Boulard, and Will Peirson, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tomo Mikuljan made 30 saves on 32 shots.

Campbellford was helped by Karn Dart, who registered one goal. Dart scored 8:09 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Jeremiah Doherty provided the assist. Colin Doyle also scored for Campbellford.

Napanee incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Cole Mahoney rejected 35 shots on goal for the Rebels. Campbellford incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
