In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Wingham Ironmen escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Kincardine Bulldogs.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Holdyn Lansink's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The win by Wingham clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

The Ironmen were sparked by Lansink, who racked up one goal. Lansink scored 6:51 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Wingham. Keifer MacInnes picked up the assist.

Wingham's offense rang up 41 shots on Kincardine's net. The Ironmen's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Bulldogs' power play unit.

Wingham additionally got points from Alex Kuntz, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wingham also got a goal from Matt McCracken as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wingham were Carter Strachan, Broedy Karelse, and Jeremy Ross, who contributed one each.

Kincardine put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wingham to score on any of its four power plays.

The Bulldogs were led by Patrick Wiejak, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Wiejak scored on the power play 9:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kincardine earned a power play opportunity when Ryan McNeil was put in the box for interference. Dalton Hnatko provided the assist. Chad Simpson also scored for Kincardine. More assists for Kincardine came via Alex Labrosse and Luke Inglis, who each chipped in one.

Ben Nelson rejected 28 shots on goal for the Ironmen. Wingham incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Mitch Campbell made 38 saves for the Bulldogs on 41 shots. Kincardine incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
