Cape Cod takes care of East Coast early, wins 9-2

East Coast fell behind early, and Cape Cod kept piling on the points on the way to a 9-2 victory.

Isaac Bosse was all over the ice for Cape Cod, as he tallied one goal and four assists in the win. Bosse scored 16:33 into the third period to make the score 9-2 Cape Cod. Chris Harris assisted on the tally.

Cape Cod forced East Coast's goalies to work in net, launching 55 shots and forcing 46 saves. Travis Spangle made zero stops and Seth Corwin made 46. Cape Cod's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three East Coast power plays. Cape Cod surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Cape Cod has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Cape Cod's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in four goals.

Cape Cod also got points from Harris, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Cape Cod included JC Moritz, who had three, Andrey Stankevich, who had two, and Jordy Knoren and Tim OShea, who each put in one. More assists for Cape Cod came via Colton Hutton, who had two, Eric Szeker, Anthony Giannelli, and Christian Holmes, who contributed one each, and Jean Sebastien Dufort and Charles Antoine Malenfant, who each chipped in three.

East Coast managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. East Coast ended up below its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game.

East Coast was led by Yannick Price-Prevot, who grabbed one goal. Price-Prevot scored 11:12 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Cape Cod. Robert Gravallese also scored for East Coast.

Brent Petrowski rejected 15 shots on goal for Cape Cod. Cape Cod totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play. Cape Cod ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Holmes was ejected from the game. For East Coast, Tom Potter was ejected from the game.
