Schreiber leads Ohio over New York, 14-9

Tom Schreiber was all over the field for the Ohio Machine, as he tallied two goals and four assists in the Ohio Machine's 14-9 win over the New York Lizards.

Schreiber found the back of the net 12:32 into the 1st quarter to make the score 4-2 Ohio and again 5:52 into the 2nd to make the score 7-3 Ohio.

With 55 shots on target during the contest, Ohio exceeded the 42.3 shots it averages per game this year.

Ohio additionally got points from Steele Stanwick, who also registered two goals and one assist. Ohio also had goals scored by Marcus Holman and Jimmy Bitter, who scored three goals each and Peter Baum, Brian Farrell and Kevin Cooper, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Ohio were Brian Karalunas, who had two and Greg Puskuldjian, who had one.

New York kept the Machine's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Phipps made 15 saves on 24 shots. The Lizards' offense operated below they season average. New York averages 14.8 goals per game.

The Lizards were led by Paul Rabil, who registered two goals and two assists. New York also got points from Tommy Palasek, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for New York included Rob Pannell and Ryan Walsh, who scored two goals each and Mike Stone and Conrad Oberbeck, who each put in one. More assists for New York came via Kyle Hartzell, who had one.

Drew Adams recorded 13 saves for New York. Ohio won 16 faceoffs to 10 for the Lizards. Puskuldjian won 16 for Ohio.
