Max Seibald scored in overtime to capture the 9-8 (OT) win for the Boston Cannons over the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Boston came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Cannons was down 4-2 after a goal by Chesapeake's Matt Abbott at 4:34 in the 3rd quarter. Boston knotted things up at 8-8 on a goal by Matt Donovan at 13:49 in the 4th quarter. The teams traded the lead seven times. The Bayhawks took its last lead at 3:48 in the 4th on a goal by Ben Rubeor to make the score 7-6 the Bayhawks. The Cannons took over the lead for good with a goal by Seibald 5:16 into the 5th to make the score 9-8. By firing 68 shots on goal, Boston exceeded the 41.6 shots it averages per game this year. The Cannons' offense operated below they season average. Boston averages 13.1 goals per game. The Cannons were helped by Will Manny, who finished with two goals and one assist. Boston also got points from David Emala, who also registered two goals and one assist and Brent Adams, who also registered one goal and one assist. Boston also got a goal from John Glesener as well. Other players who recorded assists for Boston were Scott Ratliff and Ryan Tucker, who contributed one apiece. With 36 shots on target during the contest, Chesapeake exceeded the 29.9 shots it averages per game this year. The Bayhawks could not produce their normal offensive output. Chesapeake puts an average of 12 shots into the net per game. Chesapeake additionally got points from Donovan, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Ben Hunt also scored for Chesapeake. More assists for Chesapeake came via Joe Walters, who had two and Eric OBrien, who had one. Jordan Burke recorded 16 saves for Boston. Tyler Fiorito rejected 31 shots on goal for the Bayhawks. The Cannons won 14 faceoffs to seven for Chesapeake. Joe Nardella won nine for the Cannons.
