Holman leads Ohio over Rochester, 17-12

Behind a great game by Marcus Holman, who had five goals and two assists, the Ohio Machine defeated the Rochester Rattlers, 17-12.

Holman got on the scoresheet 54 into the first quarter. Then added goal at 196 into the first, at 778 into the second, at 225 into the fourth, and at 303 into the fourth.

The 45 shots that Ohio put on net surpassed Ohio's average of 40.10 shots per game this season The Machine found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Ohio averages 13.40 goals per game.

Ohio additionally got points from Jimmy Bitter, who also registered three goals and one assist, Peter Baum, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Harrison, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Tom Schreiber, who also registered three goals and one assist. Ohio also got a goal from Brian Farrell as well. More assists for Ohio came via Steele Stanwick, who had three and James Dailey, who had one.

By firing 42 shots on goal, Rochester exceeded the 32.20 shots it averages per game this year

The Rattlers were helped by Jordan Wolf, who had three goals and one assist. Rochester also got points from Dave Lawson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kevin Rice, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Mark Matthews, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Rochester also had goals scored by Jordan MacIntosh, who had three Jeremy Boltus and and Joel White, who scored one goal each.

Brian Phipps rejected 22 shots on goal for the Machine. John Galloway made 12 saves for Rochester on 27 shots. Ohio won 17 faceoffs to 14 for the Rattlers. Greg Puskuldjian won 17 for Ohio.
