Seibald leads Boston over Florida, 19-18

Behind a great game by Max Seibald, who had four goals and one assist, the Boston Cannons defeated the Florida Launch, 19-18.

Seibald's first goal came 8:11 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 14:41 into the 2nd, at 10:26 into the 3rd and at 14:54 into the 4th.

The teams traded the lead 13 times. Florida took its last lead at 5:48 in the 4th on a goal by Miles Thompson to make the score 16-15 Florida.

With 55 shots on target during the contest, Boston exceeded the 42.1 shots it averages per game this year. The Cannons outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Boston averages 13.1 goals per contest.

Boston additionally got points from Will Manny, who also registered one goal and one assist and Wells Stanwick, who also registered one goal and one assist. Boston also had goals scored by Owen Blye and Kevin Buchanan, who each put in three, Rob Emery and Josh Hawkins, who scored two goals each and Scott Ratliff, Brent Adams and Ryan Tucker, who each put in one. In addition, Boston received assists from David Emala, Brodie Merrill and Craig Bunker, who each chipped in one.

The Launch put 50 shots on net during the contest, more than the 33.9 they average per game. Florida bested its season scoring average. The Launch average 11.4 goals per game.

Florida was helped by Kieran McArdle, who tallied five goals. Florida also got points from Thompson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Casey Powell, who also registered four goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Steven Brooks, who also registered one goal and one assist and Lyle Thompson, who also registered two goals and two assists. Others who scored for Florida included McArdle, who had five, Roman Lao-Gosney, who had three and Connor Buczek, who had two. More assists for Florida came via Chris LaPierre, who had one.

Jordan Burke recorded 14 saves for the Cannons. Brett Queener made 13 saves for the Launch on 32 shots. Florida won 28 faceoffs to 12 for Boston. Christopher Mattes won 26 for Florida.
