Pannell leads New York over Florida, 18-11

Rob Pannell was all over the field for the New York Lizards, as he tallied five goals and two assists in the New York Lizards' 18-11 win over the Florida Launch.

Pannell's first goal came 6:13 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 5:09 into the 3rd, at 8:18 into the 3rd, at 8:36 into the 3rd and at 4:26 into the 4th.

New York outdid its season average for goals scored. The Lizards have scored at the pace of 15.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

New York also got points from Jo-Jo Marasco, who also registered one goal and two assists, Matt Gibson, who also registered three goals and one assist and Paul Rabil, who also registered one goal and three assists. Others who scored for New York included Tommy Palasek, who had five, Ned Crotty, who had two and Kevin Unterstein, who had one. Other players who recorded assists for New York were Steve DeNapoli, who had one.

By firing 39 shots on goal, Florida exceeded the 33.6 shots it averages per game this year.

The Launch were helped by Casey Powell, who racked up two goals and one assist. Florida additionally got points from Kieran McArdle, who also registered two goals and one assist, Steven Brooks, who also registered one goal and one assist and Lyle Thompson, who also registered one goal and two assists. Florida also had goals scored by Miles Thompson, who had two and Connor Buczek and Chad Tutton, who scored one goal each.

Drew Adams made 16 saves for New York on 26 shots. Adam Fullerton took the loss and made 16 saves before being replaced by Brett Queener who made one save. The Lizards won 27 faceoffs to four for the Launch. Greg Gurenlian won 27 for the Lizards.
