Wolf leads Rochester over Chesapeake, 15-11

The Rochester Rattlers' Jordan Wolf had a big offensive game, scoring six goals and contributing one assist in his team's 15-11 win over the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

Wolf notched his first tally 1:21 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 2:51 into the 1st, at 8:54 into the 1st, at 10:31 into the 3rd, at 6:19 into the 4th and at 14:05 into the 4th.

By firing 53 shots on goal, Rochester exceeded the 36.3 shots it averages per game this year. The Rattlers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Rochester has scored at the pace of 12.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Rochester additionally got points from Jeremy Boltus, who also registered two goals and three assists and Jordan MacIntosh, who also registered one goal and one assist. Rochester also had goals scored by Dave Lawson, who had four and Kevin Rice and Kyle Denhoff, who scored one goal each. In addition, Rochester received assists from Donny Moss, who had one.

With 42 shots on target during the contest, Chesapeake exceeded the 24 shots it averages per game this year. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Chesapeake was led by Matt Danowski, who registered one goal and three assists. Chesapeake also got points from Joe Walters, who also registered two goals and one assist, Matt Abbott, who also registered two goals and one assist and Colin Dunster, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Chesapeake included Matt Donovan, who had two and Kyle Sweeney, CJ Costabile and Drew Westervelt, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Chesapeake were Ben Rubeor and Jesse Bernhardt, who contributed one apiece.

Sam Somers recorded 12 saves for Rochester. Tyler Fiorito made 24 saves for the Bayhawks on 39 shots. The Rattlers won 16 faceoffs to 14 for Chesapeake. John Ortolani won 16 for the Rattlers.
