Rochester falls to Boston in overtime, 17-16 (OT)

Jordan MacIntosh scored in overtime to capture the 17-16 (OT) win for the Boston Cannons over the Rochester Rattlers.

Boston came back from a five-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Cannons fell behind 11-6 after a goal by Rochester's Jeremy Boltus at 9:21 in the 3rd quarter. Boston tied things up at 16-16 on a goal by Will Manny at 0:58 in the 5th quarter.

Manny was all over the field for the Cannons, as he tallied five goals and four assists in the win. He scored the first of his goals at 3:30 into the second period to make the score 5-3. he also scored at 9:52 into the second period to make the score 8-5, at 5:18 into the third period to make the score 9-6 and at 1:02 into overtime to make the score 12-10.

The 52 shots that Boston put on net surpassed Boston's average of 45.4 shots per game this season. The Cannons found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Boston averages 12.8 goals per game.

Boston additionally got points from Scott Ratliff, who also registered one goal and one assist, Rob Emery, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kevin Buchanan, who also registered one goal and three assists and Max Seibald, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Boston included David Emala, who had four and Brent Adams, Craig Bunker and Erik Smith, who scored one goal each. In addition, Boston received assists from Ryan Young, who had one.

By firing 41 shots on goal, the Rattlers exceeded the 33 shots they average per game this year. Rochester surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Rattlers have scored at the pace of 11.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

Rochester also got points from Jordan Wolf, who also registered four goals and two assists to lead the team in points. John LoCascio also scored for Rochester. Other players who recorded assists for Rochester were Dave Lawson, who had two and Mike Manley and Justin Turri, who each chipped in one.

Jordan Burke made 13 saves for the Cannons on 29 shots. John Galloway recorded 11 saves for Rochester. Boston won 22 faceoffs to 10 for the Rattlers. Bunker won 22 for Boston.
