The Boston Cannons could not stop the New York Lizards' Rob Pannell, who tallied a hat trick in a 15-12 win. Pannell got on the scoresheet 11:06 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 13:52 into the 2nd and at 6:37 into the 4th. New York additionally got points from Ned Crotty, who also registered two goals and one assist and Paul Rabil, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for New York included Jo-Jo Marasco and Tommy Palasek, who scored three goals each and Matt Gibson and Steve DeNapoli, who each put in one. More assists for New York came via Mike Stone, who had one. Boston put 48 shots on net during the contest, more than the 39.3 it averages per game. The Cannons were led by Kevin Buchanan, who registered two goals and two assists. Boston also got points from Rob Emery, who also registered one goal and one assist and Owen Blye, who also registered one goal and two assists. Boston also had goals scored by Brent Adams and Max Seibald, who scored two goals each and David Emala, Josh Amidon and Ryan Young, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Boston were Erik Smith, who had one. Drew Adams made 17 saves for New York on 28 shots. Boston's starting goalie, Jordan Burke, made 22 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Adam Ghitelman, who stopped zero shots. The Lizards won 21 faceoffs to nine for the Cannons. Greg Gurenlian won 21 for the Lizards.
