New York's Poskay deadly on offense in 14-8 win against Ohio

Matt Poskay had four goals to lead the New York Lizards to a 14-8 victory over the Ohio Machine. Poskay got on the scoresheet 14:24 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 1:46 into the 2nd, at 6:29 into the 3rd and at 12:56 into the 3rd.

New York kept Ohio's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Phipps made 17 saves on 30 shots.

New York additionally got points from Jo-Jo Marasco, who also registered two goals and one assist, Rob Pannell, who also registered one goal and two assists and Paul Rabil, who also registered one goal and one assist. New York also had goals scored by Matt Gibson, who had four and John Austin, who had one. In addition, New York received assists from Ned Crotty, who had four and Steve DeNapoli and Tommy Palasek, who each chipped in one.

The Machine kept the Lizards' goalie busy throughout the game, and Drew Adams made 13 saves on 21 shots.

Ohio was led by Peter Baum, who grabbed three goals and two assists. Ohio also got points from Marcus Holman, who also registered one goal and one assist, Steele Stanwick, who also registered one goal and one assist and Tom Schreiber, who also registered two goals and two assists. Ohio also got a goal from Jake Bernhardt as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ohio were Brian Farrell, who had one.

New York won 14 faceoffs to eight for the Machine. Greg Gurenlian won 14 for New York.
