Carini's hat trick boosts Sydney Sabres over Melbourne Glaciers, 4-3

Ellese Carini netted a hat trick to lead Sydney Sabres over Melbourne Glaciers, 4-3.

Carini got on the scoresheet 5:38 into the second period. He then added goals at 3:42 into the third and at 10:13 into the third.

Sydney Sabres put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.2 it averages per game. Sydney Sabres' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Sydney Sabres finished with 24 penalty minutes.

Daniel Pataky also scored for Sydney Sabres. In addition, Sydney Sabres received assists from Joshua Hansen, who had two, Chris Shephard, who had three, and Lachlan Allport and Saxon Air, who contributed one each.

The 22 shots that Melbourne Glaciers put on net surpassed Melbourne Glaciers' average of 2.5 shots per game this season.

Melbourne Glaciers was led by Lenny Lee, who registered two goals. Lee scored the first of his two goals at 3:25 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Melbourne Glaciers.
