Grand Valley State University downs Michigan State University in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Grand Valley State University Lakers pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Michigan State University Spartans on a clutch goal by Allison Lowe.

Grand Valley State University came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Lakers trailed 4-2 after a goal by Michigan State University's Kara Scaturro at 1:14 in the third period. Grand Valley State University knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Stacey Mathieu at 15:50 in the third period.

In a losing effort, the Spartans were paced by Lyndsay Oden, who racked up two goals and one assist. Oden scored the first of his two goals at 4:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan State University. Lauren Blasen assisted on the tally. Oden's next tally made the score 3-2 Michigan State University with 11:23 left in the second period. Hannah Lensing provided the assist.
