Huge game by Laflamme boosts Adrian College over Michigan State University, 3-1

Nichole Laflamme was all over the ice for the Adrian College Bulldog, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Adrian College's 3-1 win over the Michigan State University Spartans.

Laflamme's tallies came at 19:04 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Adrian College and 11:37 into the third to make the score 3-1 Adrian College.

The Bulldog kept Michigan State University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Julia King made 28 saves on 31 shots.

Adrian College additionally got points from Cara Harm, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Adrian College came via Jessica Fabbro, who had one.

The Spartans did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Michigan State University averages 3.5 goals per game.

The Spartans were led by Hannah Lensing, who scored the team's only goal. Lensing scored on the power play 11:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Michigan State University earned a power play opportunity when Summer Frey was put in the box for hooking. Madison VanAntwerp provided the assist.

Emily Michelin recorded 18 saves for Adrian College. The Bulldog incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. The Spartans avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of three power plays.
