Hyndman's goals lift Stayner to 7-1 victory over OrilliaWest Orillia Sports Complex Wed, Feb 11, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
A stellar performance between the pipes by Trevor Bloch helped the Stayner Siskins defeat the Orillia Terriers, 7-1. With the win, Stayner evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. Ryan Hyndman had two goals to lead the Siskins to victory. Hyndman found the back of the net 4:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Stayner and again while 3:26 into the second to make the score 4-1 Stayner. Stayner pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes. Stayner also got points from Dylan Bursey, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Ben Lougheed, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Stayner included Quinten Bruce, Brandon Watson, and Derick Robertson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Stayner received assists from Jamieson Buck, Trevor Franklin, Kyle Lafreniere, Dakota Hynes, Ricky Darrell, Christian Papineau, and Sean Healy, who contributed one each. Orillia's offense rang up 35 shots on the Siskins' net. The Terriers were led by Ryan Tucci, who scored the team's only goal. Tucci scored on the power play 1:06 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Stayner. Mathew White assisted on the tally. Bloch recorded 34 saves for Stayner. The Siskins registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Orillia's starting goalie, Gordie Weiss, made 22 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Noah Leis, who stopped one shot. The Terriers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
