The Blenheim Blades pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Alvinston Flyers on a clutch goal by Kirk McKillop. After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Alvinston faces elimination next time out. Blenheim overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Blades fell behind 2-0 after a goal by the Flyers' Andrew Morgan at 7:09 in the third period. Blenheim tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Teddy McGeen at 12:33 in the third period. McKillop had a great game for the Blades, netting two goals. McKillop's tallies came at 9:21 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Alvinston and 16:50 into the fourth to make the score 3-2 Blenheim. Blenheim kept Alvinston's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brett Avery made 32 saves on 35 shots. Blenheim additionally got points from McGeen, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Dylan Smith, who had one and Bryan Boersma and Matt Clark, who contributed two each. Alvinston also got points from Clint Rose, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Alvinston were Jeremy VanDeven, Joe Archer, and Karsten Berg, who each chipped in one. Klinton Kenney recorded 26 saves for the Blades. Blenheim incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
